This event will start at 9:00 a.m. with numerous talks from trainees and conclude with a keynote lecture at 12:30 p.m. 

Our Keynote speaker is Dr. Graham Walker, American Cancer Society Professor and HHMI Investigator at MIT, and a member of the National Academy of Sciences. He will deliver a talk from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. entitled “Unravelling Mutagenic Translesion Synthesis: A Journey from the Ames Test to Cancer Chemotherapy,” and will meet with trainees afterward. Dr. Walker holds an R35 NIEHS merit award entitled, “Mechanisms of Eukaryotic Environmental Mutagenesis” and is researching therapeutics that inhibit mutagenic translesion DNA synthesis to sensitize cancer cells to chemotherapy.
