The Bridgeside Research Forum is a seminar given by postdocs and graduate students every Friday from 12-1 pm during the academic year. Most weeks consist of two 30-minute talks, but there will be an occasional hour-long special seminar from an invited guest too.
The goal of this forum is to provide an opportunity for trainees to gain valuable experience presenting their research to a broad scientific community. The topics are diverse each week, so there is sure to be something for everyone. All are welcome to attend and enjoy a free lunch while you are there!
There is a free shuttle to transport people directly from the Hillman Cancer Center to Bridgeside Point II and back. The shuttle will depart Hillman at 11:30 am and then depart Bridgside at 1:15 pm

Dr. Sidani is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and the Assistant Director of the Center for Research on Media, Technology, and Health in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Sidani will be highlighting her research focused on emerging tobacco products that are popular with youth, examination of these products on social media, and use of media literacy to prevent initiation of these products to reduce cancer risk among youth.
