Summary

My research interests relate to both clinical and translational questions in head and neck oncology and head and neck reconstruction.  I am primarily interested in improving the overall survival of patients with head and neck cancer through outcomes research to improve patient selection and prediction of response to therapy.  My current research is examining the effect of HPV integration site on prognosis in oropharyngeal cancer (R01DE032699, Co-PI).  Our collaborative group is examining the viral-host genome interaction, to identify functionally pivotal drivers of the disease.  The goal would be to design a clinical trial for successful escalation/de-escalation based on the genetic understanding of viral integration events
