Dear Hillman Community:
The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Annual Scientific Retreat has been an opportunity for us to gather together to exchange ideas, network, and learn about the exciting cancer research that Hillman members have been working on.
This year, in light of concerns around COVID-19, the organizing committee has decided to hold a modified and condensed version of the retreat virtually on June 17, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 pm, featuring two of our annual traditions – first, the Hillman Director’s State of the Center Address, during which Robert L. Ferris, MD, PhD will share an update on the Cancer Center’s progress, our shared vision for the future, and how Hillman is supporting cutting-edge cancer research; and second, the Research Awards, where we honor outstanding cancer research among our colleagues.
We look forward to seeing you in this virtual celebration of all of the amazing work that you do at Hillman. It is a wonderful opportunity for all members of the Institute to learn about our scientific environment. We especially encourage you to invite your students and fellows to join in, as our trainees are so vital to our future.
