The Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) supports the fight against cancer by connecting the community’s voice and needs to the research, training, and care at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
We promote the idea that everyone deserves access to cancer prevention, screening, and care regardless of demographic factors or where they live, work, play, and/or worship.
Our goal is to provide individuals in western Pennsylvania and beyond with cancer education and resources that are readily accessible and easily understood by everyone.
We also offer opportunities for community members to engage with UPMC Hillman researchers and clinicians to join in the fight against cancer.
Our team is dedicated to informing the public about the latest research in cancer prevention, screening, care, and clinical trials. We do this by providing community support groups, expert speakers, and educational resources about cancer prevention, cancer treatment, and cancer survival.
We also engage with the community through various local events, striving to connect on a deeper level and understand how we can offer the best support.
If you’re interested in learning more about the COE office, we’d love to connect with you, answer any questions, and explore collaboration opportunities.
