Summary
My research program focuses on understanding how tumor cells interact and drive plasticity, cancer stem cell states, and how the tumor microenvironment interacts to drive cancer progression, therapeutic resistance, and immune evasion in head and neck cancer. We integrate single-cell, spatial, genomic, and digital pathology approaches with artificial intelligence to identify the cellular and molecular programs that govern tumor evolution and treatment response. A major goal of our work is to develop biologically interpretable biomarkers that link spatial tumor architecture and cellular interactions to clinical outcomes. Through this approach, we seek to translate fundamental discoveries in cancer biology into personalized therapeutic strategies and novel treatment paradigms.
