The University of Pittsburgh HCC Ovarian Cancer SPORE Developmental Research Program (DRP) supports early phase projects that have the potential to open new areas of translational research, and lead to reduced morbidity and mortality in patients with ovarian cancer. The overall mission of the DRP is to stimulate research in ovarian cancer that will lead to greater understanding of ovarian cancer biology, better treatment, and improved outcomes for this disease. Developmental projects include research focused on basic science discoveries, prevention, early detection, treatment, development of prognostic and predictive biomarkers, as well as survivorship.
