UPMC was one of the 9 institutions selected by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) to be funded for Hematology-focused fellowship training. This will provide an additional fellowship training spot for applicants who are seeking a rigorous, academically-oriented focused training in Hematology. This 3-year training will provide clinical training in non-malignant and malignant hematology, protected research time for research in hematology, mentorship and career development opportunities through world renowned faculty and the Vascular Medicine Institute. In addition, the curriculum is designed to allow for additional training in Transfusion Medicine, or another Hematology-focused area of choice. Research can further be supported on the Hematology T32.
