Program Information

*Important COVID-19 information regarding this event: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC have taken steps to protect the health of faculty, staff, students and community. Please note that this event may need to be offered virtually – in addition to or instead of – an in-person event.  All registrants will be notified of any changes to the event. 

The Annual UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Scientific Retreat and Satellite Conference is scheduled to be held Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18, 2020 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum on Fifth Ave. in Oakland.*

The 2020 Satellite Conference will focus on “Data Science” and will kick off the events for the first half of Wednesday. The 2020 Retreat will begin afterward on Wednesday afternoon and will cover the topics of “Planned Translational SPORE Projects” and “Modulating the DNA Damage Response in Cancer and Beyond,” and will conclude on Friday with “Immmuno – Metabolism.” These three topics are of importance and relevance to all who are  interested in cancer. We are also pleased to bring back the always popular Lightning Round.

Food Service (In-person event only)

Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner on Wednesday; and breakfast and lunch on Thursday. Meals will be served in the Grand Ballroom. Breaks will be provided on all days, during which there will be beverages and light snacks available.
