Welcome

Dear UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Members:

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 32nd Annual UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Scientific Retreat and Satellite Conference on Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18, 2020. This year’s event is scheduled to be held at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum on Fifth Avenue in Oakland* .

The 2020 Satellite Conference will focus on “Data Science” and will kick off the events for the first half of Wednesday. The 2020 Retreat will begin afterward on Wednesday afternoon and will cover the topics of “Planned Translational SPORE Projects” and “Modulating the DNA Damage Response in Cancer and Beyond,” and will conclude on Friday with “Immmuno – Metabolism.” These three topics are of importance and relevance to all who are  interested in cancer. We are also pleased to bring back the always popular Lightning Round.

We very much look forward to your participation in this wonderful opportunity for all members of the Cancer Center to learn about and contribute to our scientific environment. We especially encourage you to invite your students and fellows, as our trainees are so vital to our future. All information and forms regarding the retreat can be found on this web site. For questions, please contact Lisa George, Retreat Coordinator, at georgel@upmc.edu.

Regards,
Bob and Lin
