DNA/RNA Services: Sequencing

The CGF possesses state-of-the-art, next-generation sequencing equipment which features Illumina’s sequencing by synthesis (SBS) chemistry. Unlike traditional Sanger sequencing, human exomes can be generated in 18 hours on the NextSeq 500.

The CGF offers a concierge service to meet the individual researchers’ needs.  From tissue microdissection to the generation of sequence data.  Sequence data (fastQ files) undergoes initial secondary analysis and sample QC (HS metrics) which is given to the researcher upon request.

Sequencing Data

Sequence data (fastQ files) undergoes initial secondary analysis and sample QC (HS metrics) which is given to the researcher upon request.  Data will be transferred to the researcher via the cloud or downloaded to a researcher-provided hard drive upon completion of the sequencing run.  Data will be stored locally by the CGF for 6 months.  At that time, the researcher will be notified that the CGF copy will be deleted.

We encourage our users to visit the HCC Bioinformatics website for contact information regarding sequence analysis services.
